Wi-Fi WPA3 transition checklist

Overview

WPA3 improves crypto; legacy devices need mixed mode during transition.

Steps

1. Inventory clients incapable of WPA3—replace or isolate IoT VLAN.
2. Enable SAE on SSIDs; retain WPA2 transitional where needed short term.
3. Test Fast roaming (802.11r) with VoWiFi clients.

Policy

Default deny PPSK sprawl; central RADIUS for employees.
